Book Spotter

I will be devolving an application that will be available on you smart phones or tablets that will allow you to search the internet for textbooks in matter of seconds not hours, this app will be a powerful search engine that will look over tons of booksellers and local business for the textbook that you are looking for. Book Spotter will cut you search time in half as an added bones you be able to receive the book of your choice in two days no matter what part of the country you order from. we believe that no one should ever pay for shipping and handling. this application is targeted towards those who go to college or a university and are on a budget. if that was enough you will be able to sell your old textbooks to either a bookseller who is willing to pay top dollar for your in good condition books or to a local person who is search of they specific book. So lets see how this application develops into the next mind blowing thing. 

OnCamera

My application that I want to improve is a safety application that is strictly police based. The issues with it are; that the pricing range is to expensive for one app, police officers are not available at all times to their costumers, it is not available in every state only the state that is was created in, the police officers let the suspect go instead of tracking the suspect down regardless if they did not do any harm. My idea to fix the app is to have the price range go down to 4.99 for a one person and 7.99 for two people. Another would have to be having a police officer at all times because they are retired police officers so there is no mean to not have a police officer at all times because what would be the entire point of the application. Another issue is to have the app be accessed by everyone in every state in the country because seeing reviews of how the app was not functioning right or it did not work in their county, that is a bad reputation already for an application that is police built. A big issue I have is that they do not go after the criminals they see on camera, I do not understand as to why they would not go after that person because obviously if they are trying to cause harm to one individual, there is a high chance they will do it to somebody else. That is my research topic for our research project.

The market that I am focusing on is the entertainment industry, specifically the movie business. My goal is to improve The Screening Room, an idea from the mind of Sean Parker that will allow for customers to watch big budget box office movies from the comfort of your home on the day of release. To quote an article that can explain it better, Jason Guerrasio from Business Insider writes "A company called The Screening Room, founded by Parker and Prem Akkaraju (who is also CEO), is making the rounds at Hollywood studios pitching $50 rental fees for movies still in theaters ".

Although not out in the actual market yet, this service would innovate the actual movie market. The service would be distributed through a $150 box top set, and would allow for the rental of movies at $50 a pop. This is a bit too expensive for renting a movie at a one time fee, though granted you would have access to it for at least 48 hours after the initial payment. There are a multitude of ways to remedy this problem, and most can be solved by partnering with theater chains.

Bloons Tower Battle 

Who doesn’t like playing a good game after a long day because I know I do. There are many apps out there that entertain you for a couple of weeks and then you delete them because you get bored or it’s no longer fun for you to play with it. You download a lot of games that people talk about and that are like the thing for a moment but next thing you know there comes  a better game every time. However, I want to concentrate specially on one because it is not just entertaining is it very fun and easy to play. "Bloons TD was released on December, 13 2012 by Ninja Kiwi" (Kiwi 5).  Bloon tower battle is a monkey vs. monkey game that can be downloaded or played on a phone or a computer and it’s free. One of the upgrades or renovation that I want to do to the app would be to make it internet connection free. You would be able to use it with or without internet. You can connect the game to Facebook to let your friends know what level you’re on or what have been the upgrades you have made so far. Unless you want to connect with your friends on Facebook to play the game then you would definitely need internet connection otherwise you would not. Why? Because how about you had a bad month and you cannot pay your phone bill or your Wi-Fi bill but all you have is the game you need to be able to entertain yourself with something that does not required any service other than a working phone.  Secondly, I would like to inquire more monkeys, battle tracks, and balloon stamps. There are 20 different monkeys, 18 custom battle tracks, and 8 balloon stamps. This is not enough because when you upgrade everything then you really don’t have anything to do other then battle other people until you end up with no medallions. I want players to have more entertainment then what they have already. I don’t want them to get bored or frustrated either because they can’t finish upgrading everything. Every upgrade need to have asset up level so it can unlock as they play therefore the more often they play the more unlocks they get. This would make it an even deal for us the app and for them the players. Lastly, I want to be able to chat with the people that I am playing with either if they are strangers or if they are my Facebook friends. I want the players to be able to have a full on conversation during the battle because it would make it more interesting to play with others. Also, I want to be able to send emojis that I have on my phone not just the ones the app provides me with. By adding all this upgrades the game would become more popular and interesting for people to play with and they would not get tired of plying.

Bloons Tower Battle

The app that I'm working on is called Bloons tower battle. It's a game that you can play on your phone or computer. It does not cost you any money and all ages can play it. There are many different versions of it, but they might cost you some money and they are basically all the same the only difference might be that  you can play with you friends and some you can't but that is pretty much it. Anyways, it is a monkey vs monkey match and what you do is you are a balloon battle with your friends or with anyone that is available to play with you the game would connect you with someone to play. You can send them balloons to try and make them loss faster or to just make the game a little more intense. There are 20 different monkeys that you can use to battle with others and 18 different battle tracks to battle on but i think that is not enough to have fun. I mean don't get me wrong i enjoy the game as it is, but a little more tracks to battle on wont hurt. Also more monkeys would be nice as well. this would make the game even more entertaining for whoever is playing it because you would need to spend more time battling others to get all the medallions you need to unlock all of the upgrades and battle tracks as you advance in the game. People would not get bored of having to play with the same monkeys and battle tracks over and over again because they would be more concentrated on unlocking everything so they can upgrade.

Abstract

Instagram is about sharing pictures and video clips with your friends and family. You are sharing a moment in your life with others. Instagram brings people together to create new episode in your life. Social media had been a major impact on student’s life. “For example, last year, our library opened up additional 24-hour study space on a trial basis during finals. When it was deemed a success, our team created a proposal to request additional funding to keep the spaces open on an ongoing basis. Included in the proposal were social media anecdotes, which included a photo from Instagram posted by a student happily studying with his friends overnight in the expanded study space” (Salomon 18). Salomon wants to install Instagram on their library computer to create a more interesting and efficient way for students to do their homework. We need find new ways to motivate students to do their homework and “Instagram can help us get there because it’s currently the third most used social network in the U.S. colleges” (Salomon 4). By inputting this we can get more and more students to join our program and spread the word for every school in California. This would help students do better in school and be motivated to do their homework. They would have a much easier and rapid access to the program because it would be installed with Instagram.

I have chosen to create an app. There is already a website for this place, but it is vague, dim, and unappealing. The app that I have chosen is Tierra Mia Coffee. It would be similar to that of Starbucks. It would contain location information(address, phone number, operating hours, wait expectancy, and rating for that particular store), ability to rate the shop, order ahead options, rewards programs, and gift card reload, sending, and syncing options. The goal for this app is to raise revenue and cut down on wait time/crowding in the shops and drive thrus. It is also a way to make shops less targeted for theft. When this app is up and running, it would be a goal to make a greater percent of payments be done through the app or gift cards. Most importantly, I want to make sure to get the culture of Tierra Mia into the app. I know apps are to be concise and to the point but without the culture Tierra Mia would just be any other coffee shop.
