Book Spotter

I will be devolving an application that will be available on you smart phones or tablets that will allow you to search the internet for textbooks in matter of seconds not hours, this app will be a powerful search engine that will look over tons of booksellers and local business for the textbook that you are looking for. Book Spotter will cut you search time in half as an added bones you be able to receive the book of your choice in two days no matter what part of the country you order from. we believe that no one should ever pay for shipping and handling. this application is targeted towards those who go to college or a university and are on a budget. if that was enough you will be able to sell your old textbooks to either a bookseller who is willing to pay top dollar for your in good condition books or to a local person who is search of they specific book. So lets see how this application develops into the next mind blowing thing.

My application that I want to improve is a safety application that is strictly police based. The issues with it are; that the pricing range is to expensive for one app, police officers are not available at all times to their costumers, it is not available in every state only the state that is was created in, the police officers let the suspect go instead of tracking the suspect down regardless if they did not do any harm. My idea to fix the app is to have the price range go down to 4.99 for a one person and 7.99 for two people. Another would have to be having a police officer at all times because they are retired police officers so there is no mean to not have a police officer at all times because what would be the entire point of the application. Another issue is to have the app be accessed by everyone in every state in the country because seeing reviews of how the app was not functioning right or it did not work in their county, that is a bad reputation already for an application that is police built. A big issue I have is that they do not go after the criminals they see on camera, I do not understand as to why they would not go after that person because obviously if they are trying to cause harm to one individual, there is a high chance they will do it to somebody else. That is my research topic for our research project.

The market that I am focusing on is the entertainment industry, specifically the movie business. My goal is to improve The Screening Room, an idea from the mind of Sean Parker that will allow for customers to watch big budget box office movies from the comfort of your home on the day of release. To quote an article that can explain it better, Jason Guerrasio from Business Insider writes "A company called The Screening Room, founded by Parker and Prem Akkaraju (who is also CEO), is making the rounds at Hollywood studios pitching $50 rental fees for movies still in theaters ".

Although not out in the actual market yet, this service would innovate the actual movie market. The service would be distributed through a $150 box top set, and would allow for the rental of movies at $50 a pop. This is a bit too expensive for renting a movie at a one time fee, though granted you would have access to it for at least 48 hours after the initial payment. There are a multitude of ways to remedy this problem, and most can be solved by partnering with theater chains.

Bloons Tower Battle 

Who doesn’t like playing a good game after a long day because I know I do. There are many apps out there that entertain you for a couple of weeks and then you delete them because you get bored or it’s no longer fun for you to play with it. You download a lot of games that people talk about and that are like the thing for a moment but next thing you know there comes  a better game every time. However, I want to concentrate specially on one because it is not just entertaining is it very fun and easy to play. "Bloons TD was released on December, 13 2012 by Ninja Kiwi" (Kiwi 5).  Bloon tower battle is a monkey vs. monkey game that can be downloaded or played on a phone or a computer and it’s free. One of the upgrades or renovation that I want to do to the app would be to make it internet connection free. You would be able to use it with or without internet. You can connect the game to Facebook to let your friends know what level you’re on or what have been the upgrades you have made so far. Unless you want to connect with your friends on Facebook to play the game then you would definitely need internet connection otherwise you would not. Why? Because how about you had a bad month and you cannot pay your phone bill or your Wi-Fi bill but all you have is the game you need to be able to entertain yourself with something that does not required any service other than a working phone.  Secondly, I would like to inquire more monkeys, battle tracks, and balloon stamps. There are 20 different monkeys, 18 custom battle tracks, and 8 balloon stamps. This is not enough because when you upgrade everything then you really don’t have anything to do other then battle other people until you end up with no medallions. I want players to have more entertainment then what they have already. I don’t want them to get bored or frustrated either because they can’t finish upgrading everything. Every upgrade need to have asset up level so it can unlock as they play therefore the more often they play the more unlocks they get. This would make it an even deal for us the app and for them the players. Lastly, I want to be able to chat with the people that I am playing with either if they are strangers or if they are my Facebook friends. I want the players to be able to have a full on conversation during the battle because it would make it more interesting to play with others. Also, I want to be able to send emojis that I have on my phone not just the ones the app provides me with. By adding all this upgrades the game would become more popular and interesting for people to play with and they would not get tired of plying.

Bloons Tower Battle

The app that I'm working on is called Bloons tower battle. It's a game that you can play on your phone or computer. It does not cost you any money and all ages can play it. There are many different versions of it, but they might cost you some money and they are basically all the same the only difference might be that  you can play with you friends and some you can't but that is pretty much it. Anyways, it is a monkey vs monkey match and what you do is you are a balloon battle with your friends or with anyone that is available to play with you the game would connect you with someone to play. You can send them balloons to try and make them loss faster or to just make the game a little more intense. There are 20 different monkeys that you can use to battle with others and 18 different battle tracks to battle on but i think that is not enough to have fun. I mean don't get me wrong i enjoy the game as it is, but a little more tracks to battle on wont hurt. Also more monkeys would be nice as well. this would make the game even more entertaining for whoever is playing it because you would need to spend more time battling others to get all the medallions you need to unlock all of the upgrades and battle tracks as you advance in the game. People would not get bored of having to play with the same monkeys and battle tracks over and over again because they would be more concentrated on unlocking everything so they can upgrade.

Abstract

Instagram is about sharing pictures and video clips with your friends and family. You are sharing a moment in your life with others. Instagram brings people together to create new episode in your life. Social media had been a major impact on student’s life. “For example, last year, our library opened up additional 24-hour study space on a trial basis during finals. When it was deemed a success, our team created a proposal to request additional funding to keep the spaces open on an ongoing basis. Included in the proposal were social media anecdotes, which included a photo from Instagram posted by a student happily studying with his friends overnight in the expanded study space” (Salomon 18). Salomon wants to install Instagram on their library computer to create a more interesting and efficient way for students to do their homework. We need find new ways to motivate students to do their homework and “Instagram can help us get there because it’s currently the third most used social network in the U.S. colleges” (Salomon 4). By inputting this we can get more and more students to join our program and spread the word for every school in California. This would help students do better in school and be motivated to do their homework. They would have a much easier and rapid access to the program because it would be installed with Instagram.

I have chosen to create an app. There is already a website for this place, but it is vague, dim, and unappealing. The app that I have chosen is Tierra Mia Coffee. It would be similar to that of Starbucks. It would contain location information(address, phone number, operating hours, wait expectancy, and rating for that particular store), ability to rate the shop, order ahead options, rewards programs, and gift card reload, sending, and syncing options. The goal for this app is to raise revenue and cut down on wait time/crowding in the shops and drive thrus. It is also a way to make shops less targeted for theft. When this app is up and running, it would be a goal to make a greater percent of payments be done through the app or gift cards. Most importantly, I want to make sure to get the culture of Tierra Mia into the app. I know apps are to be concise and to the point but without the culture Tierra Mia would just be any other coffee shop.

Living through Upgrades

    On Christmas Day 2008, I was handed a little black watch box. I was excited, but judging by the box it wasn’t what I had asked for. Luckily for me, my parents were way more clever than me. I was given my first cellphone that day. It was my sister’s old Nokia flip phone, and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I couldn’t believe it. After months of begging for it, I finally got what I wanted. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to use it all day, every day. It wasn’t until days later that I realized I was only 13 and only about 2 of my friends had cellphones. Also, I had very limited texting and minutes. There was no internet or apps at that time. It didn’t stop me from carrying my phone and taking the blurriest of pictures though. Luckily for me, throughout the years technology would rapidly update and so would my phone. I didn’t realize but my phone and social life were slowly going to develop.

    When I was 14, I got a blackberry, and I felt like the most sophisticated, organized teen ever. Blackberries were created to double as planners, so I couldn’t wait to get all organized (as if I had anything to organize). I remember it was red, and I felt like it showed off my now bold personality. It made me feel grown. I had finally gotten internet on my phone and at least 50% of my friends had hopped on the mobile phone train. I could text, talk, take better pictures, play games, and get on Myspace whenever I wanted. My parents also saw an opportunity when I got this phone. They found a way to blackmail and punish me.

    By the time I was 16, I had completely destroyed my blackberry. I had dropped it in water countless times and burnt out the battery so bad the cover wouldn’t stay on without tape. I didn’t mind though. I was actually extremely excited. Like all teenagers, for a while now, I had my eye on a newer, better phone. I bought the galaxy 3. It could download all kinds of apps and allowed me to be on social media no matter where I was. This was also the time where I gained unlimited text, data, and talk privileges. When I heard that my eyes lit up, and all I could think was thank you, God! I had recently got a boyfriend so I needed all the minutes, messages, and internet I could get. Thanks to the accessibility to social media through this phone I was able to develop my social media self. In person, I was shy, stubborn, close minded, quiet, and an introvert. Through social media I was able to be all the things I longed to be. I wanted to be outgoing, bold, friendly, fun, and personable. With this phone, I could be all of that. I began to post exactly what was on my mind with no filter. I began to leave comments on people’s post like “Wow, you’re pretty,” “Hey! we should hang out sometime,” and “Girl, you need to cut him loose.” I also got to create profiles that represented me the way I wanted them to. My myspace profile was filled with poems I had written to describe how I was feeling and songs that made me sound like a boss. Songs like “Rockstar,” “Diva,” and “Fergalicious.” Eventually and quickly, The real world me became the social media me.

The user would get a text message or an email to remind when to drink water. The market for this app are people that want to start eating healthier but forget the most important step for a good nutrition which is drinking water. This app is for all ages and is easy to use. In matter of seconds you are set up to start a healthy life. This application is rate with 4.5 stars in google play and it’s the most popular to use. In this app the user can customize the cup size and can sync their smart watch or any device with Bluetooth.

The application I want to improve is called water drink reminder. This app sends you notification and alerts every time that your body needs water. This app works in androids and IPhone. The app is free but can be upgraded by paying $1.99. The difference between the free version and the paid one is that the free have many advertising that comes-up every time the app is on use. The improvements that I want in this app is a calorie count in drinks that are not water, example energy drinks, juice, coffee and soda. This calorie count would help the user of the app to have knowledge of how many calories this kinds of drinks have so they can balance what they drink with what they eat.

          Fifa app game is very fun and addicting game ever in the app store. Fifa app game is where you can play fifa on your smart phone where every you go. Fifa app only allows you to do ultimate team only. Unless you pay for the other services to use other teams for free. But if you can you are mostly stuck with the ultimate team. Ultimate team is where you get a random eleven soccer player you have no idea where they are from and it your job to get them better. For example you get a player that is rate 58 and you have to get them to 70 and higher. Also you have to improve all your player by giving them great chemistry with each other. Chemistry in soccer players is  do they do well with other on the field. To the players that are not  doing so well you have a chance to sell them and get new players in the a packet you buy.When winning a soccer game you get gold coins. With those gold coin you can save up to buy a player or buy packets that come with more then one player. Also depending and how you win by the game that how much coins you get. Every trophies you win you get a total of 9,000 coins just for wining to championship game.

Apple iPhone 6s vs. Samsung Galaxy S6

What would we do without phones? We wouldn’t have as much contact with our families and friends as we probably have know. We have so much access to many different things because of our phones. We can do a quick search on what happen on any time period and in matter of seconds we are exploring what happen at that time. We can do our homework, work and school presentations, schedule appointment, buy online, pay bills, and many other things just at the reach of our hands. We can capture moments by taking videos and pictures on our phones. Also, we have the battery that is one of the most important parts of a phone, but nobody really puts attention to it. Some phones have more long lasting batteries then other, but they are all chargeable. You can download apps that can help you with your daily lives with no cost at all or at an economical price as well. We now dependent on our phones so much that we cannot go a second without checking a text message, emails, or our social networks. However, the brand quality of our phone is what makes all of these possible. Some people are Apple fans because it’s so easy to figure out and to use without any help no matter how old you are. In the other hand, some are Samsung lovers because of the bright clear screens and the many free things they can download with an easy access. Each phone has a variety of things that have nothing in common, but that does not mean one it better than the other one. Both companies are just in competition to making the best phone and try to attract as many customers as possible to get the best sells. There is no good or wrong purchase it all depends on the kind of person you are and how much are you willing to pay for a phone.

iPhone was introduced to us in 2007 as a new revolution of a mobile phone, iPod, and internet communicator. It changed our lives. It did not have that annoying keyboard that BlackBerry, Motorola, and Palm smartphones had it was a widescreen with touch controls that gave you an easier and rapid access to your phone by simply using the tip of your finger. Multi-touching gave us the power to decide when we want out keyboard to be used or when not. Also, because the iPhone is a smartphone it ignored unintentional moves or touches. Apple included on the iPhone a mobile phone that made it practically impossible to not have communication with anyone. You are able to save contacts on your phone by adding names, last names, emails, phone numbers, pictures, and address. You are able to save as many contacts as you want. No more contact notebooks or lost numbers. Everything would now be stored in your phone because they come with 16, 64, and 128 GB built in storage. The phone comes in space gray, silver, gold, and rose gold. The iPhone has also included an internet communicator that made searching for information a piece of cake. No more wondering for information all you have to do is give a couple of clicks on your phone and you would have the information you are looking for. Throughout the years Apple has invented many different and better quality phones that have made an impact in our society. For example, they added a 3D touch screen to the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus to give you a more live picture when you multi-task. With the 3D touch screen you have an advantage because you get shortcuts you can know open two screens at a time without exiting from one or the other. They have made better camera quality by giving them 2.2 pixels, true tone LED flash, auto focus, front-facing camera with BSI sensor and HDR mode. They have updated there soft word, privacy, and security methods that can help you find your phone if it’s lost. To secure your privacy they have installed touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the Home button. They have included computer apps, such as, Microsoft Office Word, Outlook Mail, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Calendar, and OneNote that make homework and work easier to be done anywhere. You can edit, write, save, share, copy, and past at the comforts of your home. The purpose of having a phone is to be connected to the world. If you’re a busy person or you have a bad memory you have the reminder, calendar, and clock apps that can make your life easier. There are many features that an iPhone has done for a positive impact in your life. Moreover, the battery is no user- replaceable battery so if you have trouble with you battery you would have to take some of your time to go to the Apple store and get it fix and if you do not have insurance or guarantee on your phone you would have to pay them to change your battery or buy a new phone. Also, an iPhone has never offered memory expansions other than the one the phone has already included. It does not optimization for the large screens so it makes it harder for people to see small letters or vice versa. It lacks 4K video recording, so Mike Beasley said “if you have a 16 GB iPhone you’re probably going to want to turn your videos size down because you’d fill up a full 16 GB in about 40 minutes”(4). It all depends on the GB of your iPhone, but if you have a 16 GB iPhone be wise on how you use your GB. Near Field Communicator [NFC] can only be used for mobile payments because Apple want to keep access tight while testing if NFC they want to make sure that it’s secure and private to keep their customers from thief’s and stolen identities. The price of an iPhone has ridiculously increased throughout the years an iPhone 6s plus with 128 GB is $950 and an iPhone 6s with 16 GB is $650 and that is not counting your monthly payment. A phone should be economical for the user. Yes we want a smartphone but we also need something that fits our budget. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus look the same, but one is a little bit more expensive than the other. The only difference between both phones is the thickness and the weight. Apple has always been good with competition never lets a customer down, but we all have our opinion.

Samsungs started as a small export business in Taegu, Korea. But throughout the years they bullied themselves up and invented their first Samsung Galaxy that was released in June 2009.  This phone was their entry to the Android smartphone market. They started off with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.3inch display, and an 8 megapixel camera. This was the Samsung S2. That was conceder the best android phone in the market at that time. As they continue building new and better phones they invented the Galaxy S6 phone that made a great impact to android lovers. It has a more efficient way of paying for your purchase all you need to do is place your phone in top of the swipe card machine and because your phone has a sensor like your credit or debit card it would pass without you having to actually swipe a card because your card information on your Samsung Pay app. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 5.1 inch screen made up of combination of Quality plastic, metal frame, and Gorilla Glass 4 with rounded sides, 2,560 x 1440 Quad HD with 577 ppi display has crystal clear and sharp images, 2550 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor and front and back scratched glass resistant.  It includes, 16 MP cameras, Exynos 2.1 GHz processor, 3 GB Ram, 128 GB ROM and 2550 mAh battery. It has a wireless charger that allows charging your device without having to carry annoying portable charger because the phone has optimally incorporated the wireless charging technology. It has better internet access because it has incorporated both the 2G and 3G mobile network and also the 4G LTE network. Galaxy S6 would have better navigation tools because Samsung included a digital compass that will enhance a better location search and inform display for your GPS. The phone has a light weight of 160 to 170 grams that won’t feel like you’re caring anything. It was also incorporated with the Exynos 5 Hexa core processor that will give you a better access to your phone applications. Samsung incorporated a better internal memory that allows you to have a fast access to the device applications and to the aspect of multi-task and there would be included a secondary memory for storage of 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.  The phone comes in white pearl, black sapphire, golden platinum and blue topaz. The phone has included apps like Microsoft Office Word, Outlook Mail, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Calendar, and OneNote with this apps you can do anything you need to do for either school or work in a matter of seconds because it’s at the reach of your hand. To perform a more professional display Samsung has added an Organic LED, TouchWiz, and 16M colour that gives you so much output for your display. The battery quality is so much better and long lasting because Samsung provides you with 4000mAh Li-Ion battery. Moreover, it has a single SIM supporter that depending on the carrier you choose is how much your monthly or phone payment would be, battery is non-removable, has no FM radio, slippery, gets hot around the camera area, it is not water resistant, and it does not have a microSD cars slot. Other then this little insignificant detail the Samsung Galaxy S6 has many advantages.

            Each phone has its pros and cons, but they both are really good items to purchase. The iPhone has been updated little by little and somewhat changed the features of the phone, but they all look the same throughout the years. The only thing they have changed and that you can tell is the 3D touch screen. The Samsung Galaxy phone was a really success for the Koreans to build because it’s now one of the Android phones most sold. The quality of the phone is great and not because it’s made of glass and plastic, but because it has a good quality when taking back or front pictures. There is no way of going wrong on what phone to purchase they are both really good phone, but it all depends on what is that you are looking for. For example, if you’re a photographer the Samsung Galaxy is the one for you, but if you’re a lawyer the iPhone is for you. The Galaxy phone screen is larger than the iPhone screen. Also the Galaxy has a thicker battery then the iPhone so that means that the Galaxy has a better battery. iPhone has multi carrier or you can also decide if you want it SIM free, on the other hand Galaxy you have to choose which carrier you want because you cannot purchase the phone SIM free. The iPhone phone it’s a really expensive phone for just adding one or two different things to each version they add 100 dollars more for each phone. The Galaxy phone price varies on the carrier that you choose, but the phone by its self it’s the same price. They both have different displays the iPhone is Retina HD and the Galaxy is Quad HD, but Quad is better than Retina. iPhone has a front flash and Galaxy does not that give you a better quality picture. To watch videos or movies Galaxy is the best to do so because of their crystal clear screen. iPhone has a good screen, but it’s not as clear as the Galaxy. What really matters is what the product contains. For example, the phone has installed the Microsoft apps, the payment methods, the privacy, and the security of our information. They both provide you with a fingerprint sensor so whenever you need extra security or want a faster and easier access to your phone you just put your finger and it would open you phone. They both have really different color. The iPhone colors are more professional then the Galaxy phone. However, you cannot judge a phone by its cover you need to really look into each phone to see which one fits to your needs more. Don’t purchase something because others have it purchase it because you need it and its going to be helpful for you. They are both usual topics that people compare to see which is better than the other, but like I said before it all depends on the person and how much are they willing to pay for a phone.

Julia Jimenez was a United States Army soldier for about two years that decided that the Army was not for her. Therefore, she is currently attending the university of New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. She is pursuing her acting, directing, and modeling career.            Instagram has been a great help to promote my career. I’ve meet very talented people through Instagram. They helped me grow as a person and as a professionist. My followers have been a great support on who I am known. I’ve come to believe that there is no limit in life other than the one you put to yourself. Anyways, Instagram has so many great features, privacy, and security terms. It is very easy to use. I never had a bad experience with Instagram, but the only thing that I have noticed it that there are people creating accounts with my name and pictures. Yes! my fans can post my pictures, but that's not what I’m referring to what I’m talking about is that there are people that are passing themselves like they are me, Juliabadbutt. I don't want my fans dealing or conversing with someone that we don't know what his or her intentions are. I understand that there are a lot of people with the same name around the world, but they should allow one account for each individual even after they forget their password. This would help stop fake accounts and the repetition of account owners.

Instagram is an efficient way of sharing photos and video clips with your friends. It has a map feature that gives the location of where you took that picture or where that is you are at the moment of sharing your picture or video clip. You can tag people that were with you at the moment. You can improve your picture by editing it with Instagram filters. You can crop, cut, blur, and even write on your pictures before sharing it. You can add hash tags, in text, and emojis. It is all optional.  People can comment and like your picture and it notifies you when that happens and which one of your followers did it. In your news feed you can see your follower’s pictures and video clips and vice versa. It’s a really fun and simple way to communicate with the people around you.

You are responsible for any activity that occurs on your account and you cannot sell, transfer, license or assign your account, followers, username, or any account rights. Julia is the reason I’m pursuing my cosmetology major. Before I was working on a social worker major, but it was not something I liked. It was something my parents wanted me to do because it’s well paid. I was not happy and I was not going to spend the rest of my life doing something I didn't like. I was just trying to give my parents the satisfaction. What was that Julia said that made an impact in my life? She said “I've learned over the years many long years it took to find out that I was and what I loved and what I loved about myself and why I'm important. After the billions of questions, I had to answer and discover on my own I love me. People need to understand self-love is the most important love you could have because when you learn to love yourself well the love you give to others is a greater love swell when you love yourself you perform well. Just LOVE YOURSELF, FOREVER.” After reading this I had a conversation with my parents regarding my major and I they understood that I had to study something I liked no matter how well or and played it was. I wouldn’t had found such an increadible inspiration if we Instagram didn’t exist. Instagram connects you with people you might never meet in your life but you still a somewhat connection with them by social networks like Instagram. This is a great app not just for personal, but for business and entertainment. You can learn a lot from people that are following their dreams of being actors, photographer’s, models, singers, directors, artist and many other professions that are being done by using Instagram.

This application will have a span of few months to be created because it already has all its solutions for the problems that it might occur while building.
