Blogger #3 Encryption

This article talks about the concerns that arise from government wanting too much control over encryption. The article is trying to get the audience to be concerned about the governments uncontrollable want of controlling everyone's privacy. This article is illustrating the problems that would arise if the government would get their way with these new encryption chips, that they want in every bank card. This would allow them to gain full access and monitor all transactions from any and every bank. This would cause a great deal of privacy violations and would not be worth the cost that the government wants to put into developing this new DES system. This system would add a back door to bank encryption and there for render the whole point of encryption completely useless.

The purpose of this article is to inform the reader and Waze users about a new feature Waze has. Waze has a voice guided navigation, butnow with this new feature users can change hat generic voice into a celebrity voice. The intention of the article is to characterize the various features of the Uber application. It clearly outlines every component and advantage the application has to offer. It defines the applications objective, and the companies’ way of successfully achieving said objective by declaring its easy accessibility and communication between rider and driver. It goes on to promote its both affordable and luxurious options when it comes to choosing the car, and also its global availability. However, the article also addresses Ubers higher rate pricing at peak traffic hours on special holidays in overpopulated areas. Prices tend to double or triple in these very rare occasions, and that is something the article makes very clear. Another disadvantage this article claims of the app is the lack of accommodation to those who are visually impaired, or those who rely on the assistance of a service animal. Apparently those who use an Android device are unable to use voice command features to request an Uber, making it impossible to utilize the app.  Similarly, is it each driver’s decision whether or not they allow service animals, which can negatively affect their drivers rating. The article concludes by comparing this new method of requesting transportation, as opposed to a traditional taxi service. It claims it to be more much more reasonable and more hassle free. Overall, this article shines a positive light on the application.

Article  2.-  Facebook Addiction: Factors Influencing an Individual's Addiction,  Erica Sherman University of Massachusetts Boston
http://scholarworks.umb.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1004&context=management_hontheses

This study investigates how factors such as personality, gender, procrastination, boredom and ones values may affect the amount of time they spend on Facebook, further concluding that they are either overly obsessive or not about the usage thereof.
As Facebook continues to grow as a site, it is important for researchers to understand like they do with many other Addiction studies: what makes people use. The study we conducted is merely a simple step toward the big picture of the world of Facebook and how aspects of individuals’ lives have changed because of it.

Results most strongly depict that neuroticists, females and those who are procrastinating are more likely to be addicted to Facebook. The research will show that the amount of time an individual is on Facebook is dependant on the type of person that individual is and the situational factors that might influence their usage.

ESPN is the largest cable network in the United States. It has many networks that have been included for example an international network. ESPN was created to broadcast the New England Whalers hockey games as well as the college games. In 1979 it started broadcasting large advertising contracts and than it was sold to ABC which they started using it as NFL network to broadcast football games. Sooner or later they started broadcasting Major League Baseball games which where 157 games and at last all sports came alive. ESPN was to create a way for people to follow sports and not miss a play. Not missing a play was very possible because they created networks to program all sports. ESPN has been the number one sports channel in the United States.

Pinterest has been categorized as a social network due to its ability to connect users with other users. Pinterest is best described as a public filing cabinet that the world has access to. The Harvard Business Review found that Pinterest works as a research tool to study the developing patterns and changes of a group of people. More so, details needed for anthropology, ethnography and market research can be gathered on Pinterest for free. They explain this as the process to get inside a society's mind so researchers study what they are pinning and in what fashion they choose. Once the movements of Pinterest users are categorized, the study will show that the website has become a medium and a platform for the ever growing changing in culture.

At Amazon.com, the company utilizes a system in which they personalize the website to the user's preferences based on what they bought previously, or what departments of the online store they browse frequently. For example, if a customer usually browses through the woman's clothing section on the site, Amazon will recommend other types of clothing that they deem the customer would be interested in purchasing. Amazon does this as it increases their sales, and they essentially have the customer's page focus entirely on products they know that they are interested in, and would likely buy. The system is all done in real time, which means that if you were to buy a book on the site, if you were to refresh the page it would show other books by the same author, or similar works that Amazon would think that you would be interested in.

The article describes the decline in traditional dating as a direct result of the increasing popularity of location-specific dating applications. By comparing the most popular–Tinder–to its competitors its popularity becomes evident. The "shallowest dating app ever" is easily accessible and easy to use which has led to its mass appeal. Using location and a persons interests it matches users. Users can then swipe right to accept them as a match or left to decline. When both users accept a match or both "swipe right" a chat can begin. Using location is undeniably beneficial to Tinder users, but it also presents a danger. Since location can say a lot about who we are it adds an extra layer of risk and intimacy. The writer then asks how much information is a user willing to give away in hopes of finding a match.

Facebook:
It is an online social network platform used to upload pictures, videos, message people worldwide and update your status (what's on your mind?). The age requirement to create an account is 13 years of age and up. The purpose is to connect with people globally and share anything whether it be images, opinions, or what you are doing. It is similiar to Instagram except you can't update a status.

Yelp:
An app that allows you to star and write a review for a business, restaurant, gas stations and others. You get a profile and it also allows you to message, send a friend request, upload pictures of the place you starred/reviewed, and compliment another user. You can bookmark a certain place and check in. Some restaurants give you discounts if you check in on Yelp. When you look up a certain place, it shows you how many stars it's rated from 1 being the worst to 5 being the best, the location, the hours they are open, the price (rated in $), how many miles it is from your destination, sometimes their number and their menu and most importantly, the reviews of others. The purpose is to inform others about the restaurant but also to locate restaurants, gas stations, or businesses that are near you. It is meant for anyone that wants to locate a place or find a new awesome place to try.

Netflix vs Hulu

Netflix and Hulu are similar applications, but are different in a few very important ways. Netflix has a huge collection of movies and tv shows to watch while Hulu only has some movies and for the most part, only has tv shows that are currently airing. Netflix usually has every season of each series available, but hulu only has the latest episodes. Netflix and Hulu both have some of their own original content, but the original movies and series on Netflix are a lot better, and there's a larger variety of them too. Both applications cost just about the same, but Netflix is alot more popular because it has more to offer.

pinterest vs tumblr

Both applications Pinterest and Tumblr are places for one to have a creative space online. The presence one makes is seen by other users and can easily be "re-pinned" or "reblogged". Pinterest is a website where the user can pin their interests, hence the name. The idea is to have inspiration boards catering to different themes, events or feelings. Pinterest only allows photos and videos with a small caption describing the photo. Users can then "like" or pin the exact photo to their corresponding board. Tumblr is more of a blog where the user can write as much as 500 characters in one text box, or post a video, link, audio, or video. Tumblr allows the user to choose their own website name in conjunction with tumblr. Mine is jessicanguiano.tumblr.com. I've had my tumblr longer than I've had my Pinterest (https://www.pinterest.com/jessicanguiano/) but only because Tumblr was "cool" and Pinterest wasn't on the same level. Now I've reversed the order and have given Pinterest more interest.
The audience these applications/websites attract range in diversity. Pinterest has been categorized as a feminine application though it was founded by 2 guys. Tumblr has an equal masculine and feminine presence.

Youtube vs Vine

You Tube vs Vine
I narrowed my list of five website down to these two websites known as Youtube.com and Vine. Although Vine is mainly used as an application on cell phones, it serves sort of the same purpose. It’s used to record videos and post them, as you can do with you tube. Both are used to record either a video, a message, a tutorial, entertainment or whatever you want to record to your liking. Many different people use these sites or applications for different reasons. Both men and women use these sources on the regular for different purposes. Whether it be trying to send a message, for exposure, or just for fun. Mainly for the purpose to pass on a message, either through music, a video or skit, or even a tutorial to pass on a learning.
I believe men and women of all ages use Youtube.com for their own personal reasons. Many famous people have been discovered because of this website. Music artist have been found, also comedians or actors have been discovered through Youtube.com. For example, people record videos or music and then post it on youtube.com, which then goes viral all around the world, which allows people to view it. If people show interest in your videos, many people will view it. All views get added up and in turn show if people are interested in whatever it is you are posting.
Vine on the other hand is also a video recording based application. However, I think Vine is mainly used for people to record videos for entertainment purposes as well as to capture the moment in a video. I’ve noticed many people use vine for entertainment purposes. Users create their own genre of video in there recording. Whether it be for comedy, a skit for acting, possibly even for promotion, etc. Often users cut and edit videos to create an entertaining type of video.

MapQuest vs GPS
MapQuest is a website to find driving directions, live maps, live traffic updates and road conditions, also to find nearby businesses, restaurants and hotels.  It can be used locally or across the country, it can route you around accidents, road closures so you can choose the most optimal route, you can also get an estimated time of arrival.
GPS receivers collect signals from satellites in view, they display the user's position, velocity, and time, as needed for their marine, terrestrial, or aeronautical applications. Some display additional data, such as distance and bearing to selected waypoints or digital charts. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Most of the time they will probably be the same, occasionally they will be a little difference, the more waypoints you add to the route along the way within MapQuest, the less likely the route will be changed when it gets calculated on the GPS.

Facebook vs Skype

When I first started to use media devices, my first choice was Skype, but then I started to get in touch with my family and friends in my country and everybody has Facebook, so I opened an account, I really like it because I can see my family's pictures and I can also post my pictures.

I use both of them but now Facebook has added a new video calling feature to Messenger.  Stacking up against products like Apple's Facetiem and Microsoft's Skype, video calling in Facebook Messenger is completely free and can be activated by simply tapping the camera icon within the chat inferface.

Google Maps

Google Maps is an a mapping and guidance application that was build with the intended purpose of helping people get around the world. The Maps application has its primary audience set to adults, who might travel longer distances. It can also have teens, who could be looking for information on a store around the block, as a secondary audience. This application is associated with the informational and utilitarian genre of applications. The purpose of Google Maps is to safely and efficiently get people to their destinations, this completely removed the need for Thomas Guides and old fashioned paper maps. We now have turn by turn directions, live traffic, and incident reports thanks to the technological advancement of cellphones and the integrated software of Google Maps.
Google Maps has many competitors but some of the most popular are Apple Maps and Mapquest, but neither are as popular or as effective.

BillGuard was built to give people the power to see how they are spending their money and how they can more efficiently manage their finances, yet keeping the cost of the application at free. This gives the app a clear advantage over the competition, who usually start with a free app and then charge with in-app purchases and subscriptions. The two main competitors to BillGuard would be Mint: Money Manager & Personal Finance and Level Money: Manage Money, Budgets and Personal Finance. These apps however cannot offer everything that BillGuard does such as: Free credit score and monitoring, money dashboard, beautiful analytics, and fraud protection.

Spotify vs Pandora

Spotify vs Pandora

Both are apps for playing music. On Spotify, you choose the specific songs to add to your list and that's what plays. This gives you more control on what you want to listen to. On Pandora, you choose what genre you want to listen to and creates a "station". Songs will play at random and you do have the opportunity to skip songs or thumbs up to play more songs that are similar. The intended audience for these apps would be around 10 and up, or just anyone with a phone or electronic device.

Technology and social media have all made a big influence in my life, but the one thing that has changed my life is the use of a cell phone. You might ask yourself, why a cell phone? Well cell phones have been improving a lot over the years and they have become a lot more technologically advanced than they used to be. My first experience with a cell phone was when I was in the fifth grade. It was not one of those cool styled phones that every popular kid had. It was one of those we now call dinosaur flip phones from boost mobile. I was not on a contract or anything it was a pre paid phone. A pre paid phone is where you put in money for a certain amount of minutes. My first experience with a cellphone and the reason why it changed my life was because one day when I was in elementary school, my parents did not show up to pick me and my brothers up from school. We did not know what to do or where to go. I was in the fifth grade and I had two other brothers who were both younger than I was.

Where are my parents?
I don't know.
I want to go home!
Me too.
Come on now let's go wait inside the school office.

That was my first experience with out having the use of a cell phone. We waited after school. It was me and my two little brothers waiting for my parents to pick us up, but none of my parents nor my grandparents ever did. I was in the fifth grade my little brother was in fourth grade and my baby brother was in Kinder. My dad was working from 8am till 5pm, and my mom got caught up in errands and also got caught in traffic. My siblings and I were waiting in the office till 5:30 pm until my mom finally arrived and pick us up from school. The  staff at Kelly Elementary School had to check our information to see if it matched the information my mom was giving them and they also checked her ID to see if she was really our mom. Verifying all of our information was a long process and my brothers and I were just anxious to go home. We did not want to stay at school any longer then we had to. It was bad enough that we had already been there all day,

Where were you!?
Sorry hijos the traffic was horrible and there was a big car crash. The cops stopped traffic for four whole hours and there was no way to contact any of you guys.
Why did you guys not walk home?
Tengo hambre!
I am hungry!
We did not know how to get home and we don't have house keys to get in the front gate and into the house.

The whole ride home was silent.

A whole week passed and my mom arrived on time to school to pick us up. Friday around 6pm my dad came home late. He called me over. Leo come and sit down next to me. Your mother and I need to have a chat with you.
Now listen up, mijo. You did a good thing taking in your brothers and waiting for us to arrive, but you can't always do that. Your mother and I have been talking and we have decided that it is time for you to get something. My dad slowly pulled out some keys and a box from his lunch case.It was a dinosaur flip phone from boost moblie. Now we already put in our numbers and your grandparents number in but, only use it for emergency use only. You only have 10 dollars worth of minutes in there. I slowly shook my head with joy and with a big smile on my face I said thank you and started to mess around with it. I started to poke the buttons, started to take pictures and act like the really cool guy because I have a phone now.

That was my very first life changing experience that had to do with technology. Now my cell phone is my whole life. It is my alarm clock, music player, my way to call friends, family and work. I use it to text, take pictures, surf the web, interact on social media, check my email, etc. My whole life is within my cellphone without it I am probably nothing. I would feel lost without it because my phone is my guide to my lifestyle. I went from a flip phone from boost mobile to a note 4 T-Mobile phone. My phone is like the key to my life.It is basically the only way I communicate for school, work, family and friends.

“Facebook to the Rescue”
The power Social media is a unique and wonderful thing. It can connect people that are on the opposite sides of the word or even standing right next to you in a matter of seconds. Social media has given everyone the chance to express oneself in ways that people could not imagine, being able to reach out to not just one person at a time but to the masses. People are able to express their feeling, needs, wants, and dislikes in a matter of a few keystrokes. Social media has affected so many people for either better or worst. In my case the first time I use social media for something meaningful and significant, not just checking in to In N’ Out  or ranting about how lame the last  episode of the Entourage was. For me using social media was for the best, I was new to Facebook and the whole social media world through the phone because I just happen to upgraded to a “Smartphone” from a flip phone. I was loving life with my new little gadget and how easy it was to communicate with people online and through text message. To be able to reach to everyone I knew at the time was mindblowing to me. I thought to myself, how cool it was to be able to log in and see what is was going in the world of Facebook without sitting in front of a computer for hours.
I worked for an Afterschool non- profit organization in 2011, and one night my supervisor at the time Michelle, send me a text message saying, “Meeting with the Big Boss tomorrow 9am! DON’T BE LATE!” Once I got this message I instantly started to panic, every bad thing I did at work suddenly started to cross my mind. I hesitated to reply to her text message, because I was trying to come up with every excuse I could think at that time, just in case Michelle decided to ask me any kind questions.  After a few moments I replied with the most basic and general response I could think of, “Okay”. Yeah all that thinking of excuses and counter arguing I did in my head for what, Just to reply with an “Okay” how disappointing.  That next morning at 8:45Am, I showed to my Michelle’s office that was located in the City of Whittier, being a little nervous, and anxious of what might happen. The elevator ride up to the fourth floor of the Nixon building felt like it was never ending, finally once I did reached the 4th floor.  As I walked in to Michelle’s office the first thing out of Michelle’s mouth was, “hey don’t be scared of that text message I sent you last night, it's nothing bad,  just come on in.” it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders, I sat in her office way more relaxed and calm after that. Michelle and I started to recap how our work week has been going. Exactly 9am like if Bob the CEO of the Non-profit organization was standing right outside Michelle’s office door waiting to come at exactly on the dot. Bob made his presence felt, opening the door with some authority not even knocking or saying hello Bob just came in and sat down looking at his notepad book. I gave Michelle a look and without words just facial expression saying hey I thought it wasn’t bad. Michelle just shrugged her shoulders and made the, I don’t know face. Bob sat in the chair for a few seconds but it felt like it was entirety. Bob finally spoke and said, “We need to bring up our numbers at our schools” Bob was referring to the number of kids that attend the afterschool program. Bob explain that we are losing money every day we have low attendance and that our company is based on Governments grants that have very specific guidelines on how many children the afterschool program should be giving services too. That we need to come up with a strategy to boost our attendance. Bob said “do whatever it takes to get kids into our program.” He crossed his leg and with his pen in his had said “let’s brainstorm”.
Hours passed by and after countless of ideas being shut down, I came up with the idea that hit me like a flash lightning, I said ”what about an inner sport league, all the afterschool programs have to create a sport teams and cheer squads for their school, and those teams will compete against the other after school in the area.” Bob and Michelle looked at each other. Michelle started to nod her head in acceptance and said “it might work but we have a very small budget Luis, we won’t be able to cover all the schools for equipment and transportation”. I did not want to let this idea to die because I felt like it just might work. I told Bob and Michelle “give me two weeks to see what I can do, and how I can obtain some donations”. Bob started to write in his note pad. Stood up and said to Michelle and me, “you have two weeks”.  He walked out of the room closing the door with power. Michelle looked at me and said “I hope you have a good plan, Luis.” I gather my stuff and started to say my goodbyes, I walked out of the office. On the way down the elevator I was cracking my head on how I can I reach out to people? How am I going to get donations? A few days passed by and I still was drawing a blank on how am I going to reach out to people. The first week passed by so fast like the roadrunner running from the Wildly Coyote, Michelle was emailing and calling to check on my progress, and every time I replied with “we're on track Michelle”, ”not  to worry I’m getting some good response back”. Knowing that Michelle could not see my worried face over the phone or sense my unsureness tone when we texted. The second week came and I received a message from an unknown number saying “Luis this is Bob, I want a progress report see me in my office Wednesday @ 9AM”. I was shocked how in the world Bob got my phone number! I could not reply I knew I should, but I did not want Bob to ask me questions, so ignored it (how professional), feeling nervous, and anxious about the meeting I took to Facebook to vent like everyone else in the world. I had done what I hated the most, blasting my personal drama all over the internet, just to get a cliché response like “Hey its okay, keep your head up, (and my personal favorite) everything happens for a reason.
So I wrote the post on my Facebook, expressing my anxiety and frustration looking for donation to help afterschool children, get sport equipment (manly soccer equipment) and how dishearten it is that no big company would donate to our non-profit organization. I felt satisfy with my little rant, I even put a little angry emoji face to really emphasize my frustration. I place my phone to charge and because I was feeling so bummed like a student who study so hard and stilled failed the big test. How I was going to face Bob and Michelle on Wednesday with nothing to show. I silence my ringer so I would not be bothered, I just wanted to watch T.V in peace. A few hours passed by and after self-loathing I decided to pick up my phone and I was shocked that I had 20 notification waiting for my attention all from Facebook. In a rush I clicked on them to see why I had so many, as the page was loading I instantly thought to myself let’s see how many, “it’s okay buddy” I will get, almost making it into a game. Then the first message I read was from a high school friend named Naz: “Hey Luis, how you been? I might be able to help you with your problem hit me up bro”, than the next message from Chris: “Mencos!! Dude my family owns business out in El Monte, let me know what you needed in sport equipment, we are willing to donate to your organization, let me know how we can help. #Fuckbigcompanies”. So on and so from different people who were willing to donate or know a person that could help me with my situation, friends started to add other people to my post so they can see it as well. Than the best reply to my Facebook rant was from a person that one of my friends tagged on my feed, it said “Mr. Luis, even though I don’t know you on personal or even professional leave, I feel your frustration and dishearten towards big companies and their lack of humanity for the common folks, I am willing to donate my services to transport the children from school site to school site free of charge, so they may attend their games. I have two license school buses and an extra employee willing to help you achieve this goal (No pun intended). Hope to hear from you soon.” I was so excited and blown out of the water that I started to fist pump and do kung-Fu moves air kicking and punching! Not only because I was able to make save my ass from the big bosses, but I was able to bring what would turn out the best idea to realization. I contacted everyone through my Facebook and set up meeting dates and times. On Wednesday I took all the names and contacts with me to the meeting with Bob and Michelle, it was 9:00A.M and this time I was the one opening the Michelle’s office door with authority and making my presences felt when  I walked into that room like if I was the CEO, I laid out my plan to Bob and Michelle I gave them names of the people who were willing to donate and give their services to help us, Bob seemed happy he said” let’s get this started and let’s make magic”, Good Job Luis”. I spread the news to the other school- coordinators and how to promote this new idea to the kids of their school. Within the first week of putting out the inner soccer league idea out to the school children, the afterschool attendance number started to rise, the first week schools reported that their numbers double by the second week the kids were still staidly joining the afterschool program. A whole month passed by and the inner soccer league was in full effect. With all the donations we were able to obtain from people who reached out to me from Facebook.  All fifth-teen Elementary schools had enough to have a boy and girls’ soccer teams, practice equipment , screen printed  T-shirts, cheer squads pompons and uniforms,   as well two full size buses to transport kids  from school to school.
Later that month I received a text message from Bob, “Luis, I want to speak to you, please come to my office tomorrow 9:00 AM sharp”. This time I responded quickly and with confidence, “I sure will sir.” (Still not a professional response but better than last time)  I arrived at the Nixon building with a little pep in my step this time. Bob told me to come in and have a seat, pointing to the gray chair, the room looked plain and dual, how I expected a robotic CEO office would look like. Bob this time said good morning and s my hand the he began to say “because of you Luis, and the inner soccer league idea the afterschool program all across the boards’ numbers went up 80%, putting them well over our target expectation and allowed us to hair new employees helping our company grow also The City of El Monte wants to recognize the afterschool program, for having an amazing community outreach and positive impact within the school district. I left Bob’s office that day with a huge smile from ear to ear on my face.  I was so thankful that social media like Facebook, gave the platform to express my thoughts being able to reach out to people I wouldn’t be able to meet them face to face. So the real hero of this autobiography was not me and half ass idea, no the real hero is Facebook for giving me a platform rant and rave that just happened to a blessing in disguise. For making networking so much easier and accessible to everyone, for me Facebook will always get a    http://www.meililvtu.com/whats-the-word-answers/Icomania-Guess-The-Icon-Answers-Level-5-Brand-Facebook-150x150-6219-32834.jpg from me.

                                         Starting Over

I was born in the longest country of the world, a long ribbon at the very south of America with the driest desert of the world, my lovely country Chile.  After this brief sign of extreme patriotism, I will add that I was born in the capital city Santiago, and I’m the second of three sisters, we were a family of five.

I went to the same elementary school with my two sisters, actually my eldest sister and I were classmates which at that time was good, in case I got into trouble I had somebody who always backed me up.  After finishing school, I went to University and when I was in my second year, I got married and before finishing my bachelor's degree my first baby boy was born; four years later I had my second baby boy and then after two more years finally my baby girl, I was happy and I thought that was not going to have any more babies.

I worked for 10 years as secretary in different companies, and one day we made plans and decided to come to this country,  we arrived at Miami, Florida in the year 2000;  we planned to stay for some years so that the children can have the experience to live in another country and learn a new language. At that time my children were 14, 10 and 8 years old.  It was an adventure because it was the first time outside of my country and I didn't know what would happen but we were ready to start a new life.

Some things worked well but others didn't, I divorced and I moved to California with my boyfriend and had a baby girl who is 13 years now.  Living in this country was nice at the beginning, but when my visa expired and we started to live here illegally it was very hard to adjust because I was not used to work in jobs as minority, besides we didn't have friends here and most of the people who come here have different customs and origins, people that do not share our way of life.

Finally after 10 years of living illegal in this country I got my residence and could get a better job, then I started to think that I need to make a change in my life to get a better position and also a better job so I can earn more money and at the same time spend more time with my family.  I decided  it was not too late to study so I got back to college, I'm currently in my third semester to get a major degree in child development.  Later I will try to get my transcript of my Bachelor's degree in my country; at this moment are only plans but, who knows, life is a surprise and I love surprises!

I haven't come back to my country since I got here, 15 years now, so the only way to see my family is thanks to technology, we connect in Skype and I have the chance to see my mother and my sisters quite often, we are also connected in Facebook and What's up.  I like to post pictures for them and make comments on their pictures too.   I remember one special occasion, my sisters and nieces were preparing a Mother’s Day celebration for my mom, they got everything ready with decorations, food and drinks, and the cake, they showed me around with the camera I was connected to Skype on the computer; then they placed the camera so I can see my mom when she came into the living room, and there she came…. silence …. and surprise!!!  my mother  was looking around everything and all of a sudden she saw me on the TV screen waving my hand, she looked at my sisters and asked them if it was a video hahaha, she started to cry talking to me, I was crying, everybody was crying. After a while they sit down and started to talk to each other as if I was there, it was awesome, before finishing the Skype connection my mom and sisters stood close to the TV screen where I was and they took pictures and posted them on Facebook.  It was a wonderful Mother’s day we will never forget.

From that moment on, I learnt it was very useful to learn from media connections, despite being fun; I have had the opportunity to be able to meet people and also rekindling old friendships.

This year 2016 will be bring good things in my life, my eldest daughter came from Miami to live with me, she decided to go back to school too, I think in some way she was inspired by me;  I will learnt a lot from her to keep me up-dated with technology and media communications tools.
