High School vs College
"Guiding principle: You are expected to take responsibility for what you do and don't do, as well as for the consequences of your decisions"
This quote is exactly how it is in college. You are now grown to have your own responsibilities for everything you do or don't do. Some teachers may help you but no one is there to hold your hand through every single assignment or exam.
"No matter how many guidebooks you read or high school advisers you talk to, the only way to really understand what college is going to be like is to experience it firsthand"
Everyone's college experience is different. In my opinion, the way my high school teachers or even my sister explained how college was going to be is almost completely different than how it actually is. It wasn't until after my first semester I realized how college actually was.
